Inaugural Artist Residency: Richard Hards
From June to September 2024, Torrisdale Street Studios partnered up with ARC Independent to host artist Richard Hards to develop ideas and designs for a new public artwork proposal.
During the residency, he was given access to the ARC Independent Workshop and was mentored by Craig Dow (Co-Director of Arc Independent) Peter Large (Design Engineer) and Emma Hargreaves (Project Manager for Glasgow City Council). The team provided regular 1-to-1 and group feedback meetings about their ideas, designs, and models.
This residency was generously supported by Techné.
